Using the N4865A, GPIB applications running on a computer can transparently interface to a LAN based instrument as if it were a GPIB instrument. The N4865A will not require any custom software or driver on either the controller or the instrument beyond whatever GPIB software is already in use. The product is compatible with the LXI AutoIP standard or can use a static IP address.
