The Agilent 34901A module for the 34970A Data Acquisition/Switch Unit is the most versatile multiplexer for general purpose scanning. It combines dense, multi-function switching with 60 channel/second scan rates to address a broad spectrum of data acquisition applications.

Two- and four-wire channels can be mixed on the same module. Two additional fused inputs (22 channels total) route up to 1A of current to the internal DMM, allowing ac and dc current measurements without the need for external shunt resistors.

Analyze signals in three dimensions with spectrogram
Option SIM provides a spectrogram function for viewing the behavior of varying signal parameters over time. The scrolling three-dimensional display shows frequency and power performance, including intermittent signals. The spectrogram analyzes the stability of a signal over the time, and identifies intermittent interference signals in communications systems.

This option offers three display modes: spectrogram only, spectrum trace only, or the combination of a spectrogram and a spectrum trace. Limit lines with pass/fail functionality are available in the spectrogram. The N9342C identifies the failed frame of spectrogram data with a red mark. The pass/fail tests provide alerts.

The Agilent 34922T is a terminal block for the 34922A 70-channel armature multiplexer. This terminal block is used for discrete wiring. It supports up to 20 AWG wire size typical for <100 connections or 24 AWG for >100 connections. The following two terminal blocks are available to facilitate wiring connections to the 34922A module:

Agilent’s N4865A is a GPIB to LAN adapter that provides a GPIB interface for VXI-11.3 compatible LAN based oscilloscopes such as Agilent’s 7000 and 9000 Series. Using the N4865A, GPIB applications running on a computer can transparently interface to a LAN based instrument as if it were a GPIB instrument.

The N4865A will not require any custom software or driver on either the controller or the instrument beyond whatever GPIB software is already in use. The product is compatible with the LXI AutoIP standard or can use a static IP address.

The N2881A DC blocking capacitors can be used in series with the N2880A InfiniiMax in-line attenuator to block out unwanted DC components of the input signal up to 30 V.

The N2786A is a low-cost, easy-to-use XY axis probe positioner for general purpose probing applications. It requires no controls to position it into place.

• Three different sized apertures into which various sized probes can be placed

• All of Agilent’s 2.5 mm and 5 mm passive probes (N2870A-76A, 10073C, 10074C, N2862A, N2863A, 1165A etc.)
• Most other passive probes on the market

The Agilent N2879A fine pitch accessory kit offers the ideal set of accessories needed for probing fine pitch ICs and components with N2870A Series passive probes. The kit includes IC caps, insulating cap, protection cap, ground spring, ground blade, replacement probe tips, dual-lead adapters, hook tip adapter, PCB adapters, IC clips, SMD clips and 2-leg probe positioner (N2786A).
